Today we had a special visit from a real fire engine at Connex. The children were able to take their time exploring the fire engine in a calm and supported way. They sat inside the cab, looked at the different tools the firefighters use, and had the chance to see their protective uniform up close. The children could try on the helmets if they wanted too! 

The children enjoyed being able to ask questions, touch some of the equipment with support, and watch the lights on the fire engine.

The children listened amazingly and there were lots of smiles all round!
