World Mental Health Day

Today we mark World Mental Health Day, a reminder that just like physical health, our mental wellbeing is something we all need to look after. At Connex we highlight the importance of kindness, inclusion, and support for everyone, but today we wore yellow to raise further awareness.
At Connex we take time to educate our learners about simple ways to care for their wellbeing. Here are a few things you can try together at home:

  • Talk openly – Encourage your child to share their feelings, and remind them that all feelings are okay.
  • Keep moving – Fresh air, walks, or playtime outside help boost mood and energy.
  • Stay connected – Time with family and friends can provide comfort and a sense of belonging.
  • Small moments matter – Reading a book together, sharing a meal, or a bedtime chat can make a big difference.

Looking after mental health is not about doing everything perfectly – it’s about small, everyday steps that build resilience and confidence.
